Description


Chipton-Ross is seeking a Maintenance Janitor 1 for a contract opportunity in Northridge, CA.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
o High school diploma or GED required.
o 4 years custodial work experience.
o Previous custodial experience required.
o Knowledge of use of industrial cleaning equipment and appliances.
o Possess working knowledge of the methods, technique, and materials used in custodial work.
o Knowledge of safe use and disposal of chemical liquids and other hazardous components.
o Attention to detail and conscientiousness.
o Ability to climb ladders and work from heights.
o Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions.
o Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
o Good physical condition and strength.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
o Ensure spaces are prepared for the next day by emptying and cleaning trash receptacles, tidying furniture and dusting surfaces.
o Sweep and mop floors and vacuum carpets.
o Wash and sanitize toilets, sinks and showers and restock disposables (e.g. soap, sanitary products etc.).
o Wipe mirrors and windows.
o Cleaning entrances, including glass doors and floors.
o Report any safety, sanitary, or fire hazards to the appropriate department.
o Other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED EDUCATION:
High School Diploma/GED is required.
School must be accredited.

WORK HOURS:
9/80 workweek. M-Th 7:00 AM - 4:30 PM (30 minute lunch) working Friday 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM

Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
