Chipton-Ross is seeking a DevOps Engineer 2 for a contract opportunity in Morrisville, NC.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
o Must have a completed STEM degree [a degree in the fields of science, technology, engineering, or mathematics] with 5-8 years of experience.
o Must have above minimum experience on the below:
o Experience with developing microservices
o Must hold a Security+ Certification
o Experience with Kubernetes, AWS/C2S and Terraform
o Experience with Linux and Ansible
o Experience with Jira, Jenkins and Git/Version Control Software
o Ability to express technical information clearly at different organizational levels
o Familiarity with API Security, Container Security, AWS Cloud Security
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
This position is for a DevOps Engineer for the Ammolite Ground program. A DevOps Engineer plans and evolves processes and infrastructure to execute programs which support rapid maturation and deployment of capability while sustaining a stable security posture and incorporating ongoing stakeholder feedback. Integrates development pipelines leveraging automation with test-driven development tools and continuous integration/test frameworks. Implements provisioning and deployment techniques via packaging, componentizing, or Cloud distribution. Functions with agile principles to execute efficiently in an environment of continuous feedback. Ensures implementation of Software Configuration Management (SCM), code quality, and code coverage with automated testing for Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
o Experience creating, developing, and implementing solutions to address infrastructure and security requirements
o Ability to identify the needs to build automation, designing and implementing CICD solutions
o Experience working with Docker containers and Helm charts
o Familiarity with space vehicle ground segment design
o Experience with Agile development
o Excellent technical writing and team building skills
REQUIRED EDUCATION:
Bachelor's Degree in STEM is required.
School must be accredited.
WORK HOURS:
5/40 workweek and ability to accommodate a 9/80 or 4x10 schedule if needed. Minimal (if any) travel, overtime is a possibility but not required. This position requires being onsite and does not support remote or hybrid work.
