- Chipton-Ross is seeking a Lab Technician for a contract opportunity in Bend, OR.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
A Quality Control (QC) scientist will perform release and stability testing of raw materials, in-process, and finished product for clinical development materials. Personnel will manage technical/scientific project activities at the task level.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Perform testing using various analytical techniques, such as HPLC, Dissolution, GC, PXRD, FT-IR, DSC, and KF.
2. Record and report results of analysis in accordance with lab procedures, GDP, and ALCOA.
3. Review and interpret analytical test results.
4. Recognize and report deviations, out-of-specifications OOS, or unexpected results.
5. Maintain a clean and organized laboratory workspace consistent with management expectations.
6. Clean and calibrate analytical instrumentation as needed.
7. May interact with customers and auditors.
8. Support authoring Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), deviation reports, and other documents as needed.
9. Collaborate with various functional areas to meet project and team objectives.
10. Manage projects at the task level under minimal supervision.
11. Perform all duties in strict compliance with Standard Operating Procedures, Good Manufacturing Practices, Good Laboratory Practices, and Safety guidelines. Maintain the necessary compliance status required by company and facility standards.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
Equivalent combinations of education, training, and relevant work experience may be considered.
o Ability to work independently and in a team setting.
o Good attention to detail and critical and logical thinking skills.
o Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures and governmental regulations.
o Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
o Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
o Typically requires standing and walking for a shift.
o Occasionally requires lifting of up to 20 pounds.
o Requires manual dexterity and visual abilities.
REQUIRED EDUCATION:
Accredited Bachelor of Science in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology, or related physical science.
WORK HOURS:
Full-Time M-F 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
