Description

Chipton-Ross is seeking a CL Designer 2 for a contract opportunity in Pascagoula, MS.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
Associate's degree or other 2-year technical degree in related discipline and two (2) years related experience. Must have experience with AutoCAD, Microsoft Excel and Word.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
Seeking an individual who is proficient in AutoCAD, Microsoft Excel and Word. Applicant will be directly involved in electrical design and development of drawings associated with ship modification and overhauls. Applicant will be responsible for following applicable drawings procedures and standards. Applicant will also be responsible for locating, interpreting and applying government and vendor-furnished information and technical data into during development of functional electrical design drawings. Travel to numerous Naval Bases will be required to support pier side ship-checking and surveys.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
Proficient with computer aided design equipment such as AutoCAD. Familiarity with US Navy Power Interior Communication, and Control Systems is preferred. One that possess an understanding in ship design and blueprint reading. Able to travel to numerous Naval Bases will be required to support pier side ship-checking and surveys.

REQUIRED EDUCATION:
Accredited Associate's degree or other 2 year technical degree.

WORK HOURS:
Full-Time 5/40, workweek 1st, 2nd, 3rd shift.

Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
