Chipton-Ross is seeking a Data Analyst for a contract opportunity in Chandler, AZ.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
o Bachelor's degree in a technical area with 8 years of relevant experience (6 years with technical MS; 3 years with a PhD in related field)
o OR Bachelor's degree in a technical area with 2 years of relevant experience (0 years with technical MS)
o Knowledge of data gathering, cleansing and transformation techniques
o Experience with common data science toolkits such as Python and Tableau
o Experience using Python packages: pandas, numpy, matplotlib
o Experience developing and presenting data visualizations for scientific analysis
What you need to be successful in the role:
o Comfort with requirements-analysis and stake-holder engagement.
o Strong problem-solving skills and root-cause analysis to ensure that curated data is accurate, repeatable, and explainable.
o Solid communication skills (written, verbal, and visual)
o Ability to communicate data and engineering analysis regarding conclusions that were reached.
o Ability to create and present data reports to support investigations.
o Excellent attention to detail.
o Development /programming of tools to improve pipeline efficiency, eliminate repetitive tasks, and implement new analysis tools/techniques.
o Prioritization skills to manage workload and make sound decisions for assigned team's data analysis activities.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
o Analyze multiple data sources in detail to identify trends and patterns using engineering fundamentals.
o Interpret data, analyze results using statistical techniques and provide ongoing reports.
o Summarize and socialize data, make conclusions and provide direction on problems identified.
o Effectively generate ideas and support building tools to automate analysis processes.
o Strong communication & visualization of the data to articulate the findings. - Develop and implement data collection systems, data analytics and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and quality.
o Design, model, and document the logical and conceptual relationship of data and database changes for metrics and analytics.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
o Product Lifecycle experience
o Proficient using query languages such as SQL
o Experience mentoring and leading peers in data science projects
o Strong applied statistics skills, such as distributions, statistical testing, regression, etc.
o JMP proficiency (SAS statistical tool) and experience scripting in JSL
o Gitlab CM and CI/CD experience
o MATLAB experience
o Linux experience

REQUIRED EDUCATION:
Bachelor's Degree is required.
School must be accredited.

WORK HOURS:
Full-Time 9/80 workweek. 100% On-Site.

Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
