Chipton-Ross is seeking 12 Assembler Cs for a contract opportunity in North Charleston, SC.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
o 1+ years of experience utilizing and following detailed work instructions, reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, or specifications, in English.
o 7+ years aviation experience required
o Look up/read/comprehend technical work instructions, drawings and/or specifications.
o Apply sealant and to surface per specifications.
o Install various aircraft system components such as panel installs.
o Operate mechanical lifts of various types (e.g. ladders, tiger and snorkel lifts).
Various tools such as Rivet gun and bucking bar, screwdrivers, lock bolt puller, power screwdriver, C-squeeze, ratchet wrench, nut runner, Winslow, 90-Degree Power Vane, or Quackenbush and various other hand tools.
o Experience using chemical solvents, sealants, coatings, primers, adhesives, paints and special finishes
o Able to work in confined space and receive associated training and certification
o Perform Bond and ground measurements
o Perform in-tank sealing in fuel tank and other structure work
o Perform wash of the fuel tank
o Must be proficient in using Microsoft applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook, etc.
o Must have demonstrated strong effective communication, work ethic and sense of urgency for completing assigned task/work.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
Performs routine production assembly operations on structural and mechanical assemblies, subassemblies and aircraft systems, equipment and accessories using manual operations. Including:
o Able to work in confine space and receive associated training and certification
o Perform Bond and ground measurements
o Perform in-tank sealing in fuel tank and other structure work
o Perform wash of the fuel tank
o Look up/read/comprehend technical work instructions, drawings and/or specifications.
o Apply sealant and to surface per specifications.
o Install various aircraft system components such as panel installs.
o Operate mechanical lifts of various types (e.g. ladders, tiger and snorkel lifts).
O The training consists of a combination of instructor-led and web-based training. It includes classroom style and hands-on application to ensure a comprehensive understanding of the material.

o Microsoft Office
o Outlook
o CAD/3D Drawing programs
o Internet Explorer
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
o Work in confined space and respirator usage.
o Carrying/Lifting up to 10-35 pounds.
o Flexion/Extension (head bent down, head bent back), Handling, Kneeling, Bending at the waist, Reaching (overhead), Rotation of head/neck, Standing, Twisting at the waist and walking.
o Climbing/balancing (stairs, ladders, poles, scaffolding, inclined surfaces), Crawling, Crouching (squatting)
EDUCATION:
Accredited education (e.g. High School diploma/GED) and typically 4 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. vocational school/Associate+2 years' related work, Bachelor, etc.).
WORK HOURS:
FULL TIME/VARIABLE SHIFT
These positions are variable shifts, contractors must be able to work 1st, 2nd or 3rd shift. Shift dependent on business need.
