Chipton-Ross is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer 2 for a contract opportunity in Goleta, CA.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
Engineering degree (mechanical, manufacturing, aerospace).
Looking for someone with 3-5 years tenure.
Someone who can show initiative and stay on track.
Process development experience.
Experience with ERP systems.
10 years tops, nothing more than 30 years' experience.
Do not want someone who hopped around jobs or had significant gaps.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
Purpose of role is to assist with regression testing.
Verifying that the software/project is working correctly.
Act as someone who can help with getting new hires access to this execution system.
Might support manufacturing engineering team projects as well.
Working with systems that are a fresh design, and be able to put work instructions together to assist the team with building the item.
Automation knowledge is good for repeat builds.
May incorporate inspection and test requirements into the production plan.
It is also important for them to have completed a significant manufacturing engineering project, ideally one where they led a team to accomplish the individual project tasks.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
Standard harnessing certification, not a must have but would be preferred.
REQUIRED EDUCATION:
Bachelor's in Science in engineering is required.
School must be accredited.
WORK HOURS:
Full-Time 9/80 workweek. On-site only.
Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
