Chipton-Ross is seeking a Structured Cabling Technician for a contract opportunity in Greenville, SC.
This position is 100% onsite.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
o Be able to work in various environments including outdoors in varying degrees of weather working at heights, and in small confined spaces.
o Operate hand tools, power tools, ladders, and test equipment
Qualification
o High School Diploma or equivalent
o One year experience
o Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation
o Must be able to pass drug and background screen
o BICSI certification required
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
o Perform major and minor preventive maintenance and repairs by troubleshooting cabling system issues
o Identify, track and remove abandoned cables
o Test every newly installed or relocated cable in accordance with established procedures
o Keep cable neatly tied and bundled while maintaining safety standards
o Record time and materials used
o Assist other members of the team with installation and maintenance
REQUIRED EDUCATION:
Accredited HSD/GED
WORK HOURS:
Full-Time 4/10 work schedule 1st Shift
Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
