Description

Chipton-Ross is seeking a CL STRAIGHTNER 1ST for an opportunity in Pascagoula, MS.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
Requires a minimum 3 or more years' experience as a straightener.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
Straightens metal plates, weldments, bulkheads, decks and structural shapes by preheating with hand torch and then cooling with water. Have a working knowledge of the size torch tips to be used in accordance with data charts that provide the thickness, area, temperature, and amount of stress of metal to be heat.
Must be able to perform all blast requirements and functions utilizing all applications. - Identify and correct blast and paint deficiencies as required by the contract specifications.
**A skill assessment will be a written and hands on test.

REQUIRED EDUCATION:
Accredited High School diploma or equivalent.

WORK HOURS:
1st, 2nd, 3rd shift.
Brush and roll 7/8's (56 hours).



Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
