Chipton-Ross is seeking a Hardware Engineer III for a contract opportunity in Syracuse, NY.
This position is 100% onsite.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
- Candidate must possess a BS and/or MS in an engineering discipline (e.g. Mechanical, Electrical, and/or Computer Engineering).
- 9 years of detailed HW development experience.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
Lead a Hardware Engineering team of up to 6 engineers.
- Provide the technical and programmatic leadership for hardware design and support teams.
- Ensure adequate trade studies, architectures, technical analysis, common hardware solutions, quality of products, and proper engineering process and methodology are followed.
- Work with First Line Managers to properly staff programs.
- Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to lead/interact with a cross functional team. Will interact directly with various internal/external customers to work through technical issues, program planning, and field support.
- Provide Earned Value updates as the program Cost Account Manager for all hardware engineering work packages.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
- Possess excellent communication skills and be able to work with minimal day to day supervision.
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills and demonstrated ability to comprehend and work successfully with complex systems.
- Lead small groups of teams for technical execution on programs, and ability to work with program/functional management to meet objectives of entire program.
- Cross-Functional or Integrated Product team leadership experience.
- Cost Account management experience.
- Knowledge of Earned Value Management and tracking practices.
- Basis of Estimate (BOE) and proposal experience.
REQUIRED EDUCATION:
Accredited Bachelor's Degree
WORK HOURS:
Full-Time 4/10 work schedule 1st Shift
