Chipton-Ross is seeking a Senior Equipment Engineer for a contract opportunity in Goleta, CA.
This position is 100% onsite.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
O 5+ years of experience with a Bachelor's degree or 3+ years of experience with a Master's degree in manufacturing or the aerospace and defense industry
o 7-10yrs of equivalent experience (Equivalent may consist of trade school experience, military background or OEM training on relevant equipment)
o Must be knowledgeable in the operational theory, advanced troubleshooting, and repair of semi conductor process equipment
o Must have a proven track record of technical writing (maintenance and PM documentation/work instruction)
o Experience with mechanical design, statics, a machining requirements
o Must be a self-starter and be able to work with minimal tools supervision
o Must be able to work in a ISO Class 4 cleanroom and facility equipment rooms
o The employee is occasionally required to must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
o Be able to stand; walk; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
o Experience in using key tool failure metrics like MTBF and MTTR to analyze and improve periodic maintenance programs
o Demonstrated ability to manage and lead teams on projects of moderate complexity. Ability to interface effectively from the technician level to senior management.
O Must be proficient in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel), familiar with Business Case analysis, and have excellent engineering documentation skills and communication skills.
O Ability to obtain a secret clearance. U.S. citizenship or permanent resident status required
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
A Sr. Equipment Engineering candidate will have a proven track record in troubleshooting, diagnosing, and resolving complex electrical, mechanical, and 1-off tool failures associated with semiconductor manufacturing equipment. Types of process equipment includes but is not limited to: Photolithography and Etching. He/she will act as the main point of contact for the Production and Process Engineering teams through direct conversation with engineers, technicians, facilities maintenance technicians and supervisors to identify and fill gaps in current documentation, best known methods (BKM), and parts inventory to assist in the mitigation of extended downtime scenarios related to production tools. Must be able to work with Facilities management to effectively identify, source, and secure critical and long lead time, and obsolete spares required to help extend the useful life of production tools. Will possess ability to dismantle, adjust, repair, and assemble equipment according to schematics, blueprints, drawings, and operating/repair manuals. Will have the ability to manage small projects, train other maintenance staff and work independently at times. The engineer will develop and implement improvements to enhance reliability, performance and long-term supportability of the process equipment and infrastructure. Use key tool failure metrics like MTBF and MTTR to analyze and improve periodic maintenance programs. Develop and improve current periodic maintenance documentation.
REQUIRED EDUCATION:
Accredited Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline

Full-Time 4/10 work schedule 1st Shift
Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
