Chipton-Ross is seeking a Structural Analysis Engineer 2 for a hybrid (remote/onsite) opportunity in Ridley Park, PA.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
Structural Analysis Experience, classical analysis and finite element analysis experience.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
Performs basic structural analysis using well defined analysis tools to develop the structural environment, characteristics and performance. Supports test execution and analyzes/reports test results to validate and verify systems and components meet requirements and specifications. Defines and documents certification and test results to substantiate for customers and regulatory agencies that requirements are satisfied. Supports in-service products by investigating failures and analyzing improvements. Works under general supervision.
Day-to-day activities they will be working on:
Philadelphia Design Center (PDC) supports aerospace programs throughout the Client enterprise including: 787, Airforce-1, Autonomous Systems, F-18, Space Launch Systems, Starliner, etc.…
PDC stress analysts provide substantiation for critical Client programs
Successful completion of training is a contingency for this assignment - OJT or formal classroom training.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
Familiarity with Client tools.
Aerospace analysis experience.
REQUIRED EDUCATION:
Minimum of a Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g., Bachelor) and typically 2 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g., Master). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
WORK HOURS:
FULL-TIME/FIRST SHIFT 6:00 AM - 3:00 PM / 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM
9x80 schedule is optional
OT/DOT: as needed
ADDITIONAL:
Possible minor domestic travel depending on SOW.
Hybrid, Minimum 3 days on site: Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays must be on-site.
HYBEmployment will be contingent on clearing a background check. Must clear prior to start date.
