Chipton Ross is seeking a Director of Civil Engineering for a direct hire opportunity in Louisville, KY.
JOB SUMMARY:
Our client is an award-winning and fast-growing AEC firm that values
commitment, excellence, and integrity. They have built their reputation by delivering
successful projects to a broad array of clients in the public and private sectors, including
with local and federal government.
As a Director of Civil Engineering, you will oversee the launch and growth of their Lexington, KY office while leading the civil engineering department of the company. This role includes developing business strategies, managing projects, fostering client relationships, ensuring regulatory compliance, and mentoring team members to drive success and expand their presence in the region.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
- Professional Engineer (PE) certification
- 10 years relevant experience
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
o Oversee the establishment and growth of the Lexington, KY office, including site selection, setup, budgeting, and operational procedures.
o Develop and implement business strategies for the Lexington location and civil engineering department, by collaborating with the executive management team, ensuring alignment with the client's goals and vision.
o Work with management on recruiting, hiring, and training key personnel for the civil engineering team and Lexington office, while fostering a strong company culture.
o Establish and maintain relationships with local clients, municipalities, and industry partners to drive business development and expand service offerings.
o Lead and oversee projects and department operations, ensuring efficient execution, regulatory compliance, and high-quality results while collaborating with public and private clients.
o Manage project budgets, schedules, and deliverables, ensuring efficient execution and profitability.
o Provide leadership, mentorship, and technical oversight for junior engineers and project managers, fostering professional development.
o Represent our client in industry and community events, increasing brand presence and market influence in the region.
o Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, maintaining industry certifications and best practices.
