Chipton-Ross is seeking a Trade & Customs Analyst for a hybrid contract opportunity in Deerfield, IL.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
3+ years of U.S. international trade compliance experience with a strong understanding of core trade principles such as product valuation, tariff classification, C-TPAT, ISA, and special trade programs
Knowledge and experience in import/export operations for a multinational company
Free Trade Agreement qualification knowledge
Classification skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Experience and interaction with US Customs, FDA, USDA, and other government agencies
Strong interpersonal skills with excellent written and verbal communication ability
Self-starter capable of managing multiple projects with minimal supervision

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide support to the Trade Regulations Team for day-to-day import/export operations and compliance with international trade, customs, and other government agency regulations
Assist with identification, qualification, implementation, and operation of strategic cost savings initiatives such as foreign trade zones, duty drawback, free trade agreements, and duty suspension regimes
Coordinate, review, and update internal procedures and assist in developing associated training modules
Manage responses to official government requests
Follow Baxter's high ethical standards and code of conduct

NICE TO HAVE SKILLS:
Experience with Tableau
Detailed understanding of supply chain logistics, including air, ocean, truck, and rail transport, as well as warehousing, distribution, supplier, and inventory management
Proficiency with Microsoft Access, PowerPoint, Word, CROSS, and Customs Info

REQUIRED EDUCATION:
Accredited HSD/GED (Bachelor's degree preferred but not required)

WORK HOURS:
Monday-Friday
Full-time (Hybrid schedule)
Overtime may be required
