Chipton-Ross is seeking a Technician I for a contract opportunity in College Park, GA.
This position is 100% onsite.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
Basic knowledge of aviation maintenance
Ability to use common hand tools and precision measuring equipment such as micrometers, depth gauges, flow meters, pressure gauges
Ability to read and interpret component maintenance manuals to diagnose and repair equipment malfunctions
Understanding of corrosion control methods and remedies
Basic computer skills (Word and Excel)
Must be able to read, write and understand English fluently
Ability to lift/move items over 50 pounds, and perform physical activities like crawling, crouching, and standing for long periods
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
Performs skilled technician work that involves diagnosis, replacement, repair and rebuilding a variety of equipment, components and/or systems
Uses diagnostic equipment and a variety of tools specific to the trade
Applies principles and practices of electrical and electronics theory
Interprets and follows technical manuals, blueprints, mechanical drawings, and schematics
Follows industry/government specific guidelines for safety, health and environmental practices
Assists with R&D of new repair capabilities, including on/off-site training
Helps maintain shop equipment and supplies
Makes computer entries and completes paperwork including Service Reports and 8130-3s in accordance with FAA Regulations and company policies
REQUIRED EDUCATION:
Accredited HSD/GED
A two-year technical degree, FAA A&P Certification, or military/civil aircraft maintenance experience preferred
WORK HOURS:
5/40
Overtime may be required
This work assignment has been designated as "safety-sensitive" by the Client. Contractors assigned to safety-sensitive jobs at the Client site must first complete regulatory pre-placement requirements prior to reporting to assignment. Additionally, contractors assigned to safety-sensitive work will be subject to random drug and alcohol testing in accordance with federal mandates.
Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
