Chipton-Ross is seeking multiple Metal or Composite Bonder 3's for a contract opportunity in El Segundo, CA.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
o High School Diploma or GED.
o 2 years of experience with composite manufacturing and or automated machine operation.
o Operate and maintain an automated fiber replacement machine, the set up; calibration and programming to produce high precision composites parts.
Basic computer skills, knows how to set-up cutters and other automated systems, some
composite experience.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
Machine setup and Operation:
Set up and calibrate the VIPER machine according to job specifications
Load materials, such as carbon fiber or resin pre-impregnated tapes,
Programming and Execution:
Interpret engineering drawings, layup sequences, and machine programming.
Monitor automated fiber placement process and adjust parameters as needed to ensure precision.
Quality Assurance:
Inspect finished parts for defects like gaps, overlaps.
Record process parameters
Maintenance:
Perform regular maintenance, such as cleaning the machine/components.
Troubleshoot issues during operation and coordinate with maintenance teams for repairs.
Safety and Compliance:
Adhere to safety protocols when operating high-precision machinery.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
o Proficient (1 year of experience) in CNC programming and trouble shooting.
o Knowledge of composites material, resins systems, curing processes.
REQUIRED EDUCATION:
High School Diploma.
School must be accredited.
WORK HOURS:
3/10 work week. 2nd shift. Will train on dayshift, 4/10.
Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
