Chipton-Ross is seeking multiple Principal/Senior Principal Systems Administrator 3's for a contract opportunity in Colorado Springs, CO.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
o Associate's degree and 7 years of experience, or Bachelor's degree and 5 years of experience, or Master's degree and 3 years of experience; a High School diploma or equivalent and 9 years of experience may be considered in lieu of a completed degree.
o IAT Level II certification is required on day 1 of employment; maintaining the required certification will be a condition of continued employment.
o Active DoD Secret security clearance on day 1 of employment; the ability to maintain the required security clearance will be a condition of continued employment.
o Experience managing Windows Server OS in a domain architecture.
o Experience in enterprise backup and restore solutions, storage area network (SAN), and network attached storage (NAS).
o Ability to travel as needed.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
Seeking a multi-skilled, self-motivated, energetic individual to work at our Colorado Springs, CO location as a Principal/Senior Principal Systems Administrator supporting the JTAGS program. As a member of this team, you will primarily focus on Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) Systems Administration and secondarily perform as a Windows Systems Administrator. The team manages the hardware, software, network, and security for both RHEL and Windows systems located in Colorado Springs and internationally. Systems Administrators partner with teams such as Cyber, Systems Engineering, Sustainment, Software Development, and others to accomplish the mission. The role will include Sustainment duties associated with the current system and Development projects planned for future capabilities.

Responsibilities:
o Perform as a Windows and Linux System Administrator for a classified government contract.
o Maintain smooth operation of multi-user computer systems, including coordination with network, software, system engineers, project managers, and IT management.
o Support multiple networks and ensure necessary IT administration tasks are completed.
o Recommend and implement system enhancements that will improve the performance and reliability of the system including installing, upgrading/patching, monitoring, problem resolution, and configuration management.
o Test new releases of products to ensure compatibility and minimize user and impact.
o Assist with developing and maintaining of technical processes and procedures as needed.
o Assist maintaining security audit and logging information on all classified networked and standalone computers as directed by the Cyber Security team.
o Read, modify, and create shell scripts.
o Make recommendations to purchase hardware, software, and system components.
o Work under minimal direction and independently determine and develop approach to solutions

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
o Experience building custom "rpm" software packages for RHEL platforms.
o Ansible, RHEL 6/7/8/9, Satellite configuration and usage experience.
o Solid understanding of remediating security vulnerabilities and experience hardening Linux systems in accordance with RMF and STIGs.
o Experience with security compliance and related security scanning products.
o Experience with host-based firewall implementations and configuration.
o Strong Microsoft Active Directory and Group Policy Management.
o WSUS patching experience.
o Experience working Cisco switches and basic understanding of LAN and WAN networking.
o Experience with DevOps architecture.

REQUIRED EDUCATION:
High school diploma is required.
School must be accredited.

WORK HOURS:
5/40 work week. 100% On-Site. Travel 10% of the time.
