Chipton-Ross is seeking 6 Fabrication Specialist C's for a contract opportunity in Kennedy Space Center, FL.

100% onsite

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
2 orbital tube welders
1. Must be certified - orbital tube weld certification.
2. Must have experience with tube installation, this is a plus +.
3. Client experience is a plus

4 tube installers
1. Must have experience with tube installation.
2. Client experience is a plus.

Must obtain a NASA cert post start

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
Performs machine set-up, machining, welding set-up, welding, sheet metal fabrication and extrusion, tube bending and fabrication tasks. Performs composite lay-up, fabrication and assembly tasks. Assembles precision mechanical and electro-mechanical components. Assembles, repairs, modifies and installs various power plants and drive trains. Perform soldering on electronic and avionics products. Assembles and installs wire harnesses and avionics products. Prepares test articles, fixtures and data collection devices to perform various tests. Performs organic chemical conversion and paint preparation. Applies organic coatings for corrosion protection and appearance requirements. Works on complex components and systems using established drawings and requirements.

Day-to-day activities they will be working on:
Team is seeking 6 mechanic's total. Seeking 2 orbital tube welders and 4 tube installers are.

Successful completion of training is a contingency for this assignment - OJT or formal classroom training - safety training required.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be comfortable in a small, confined space. As well as agile and flexible.
- Weight limit of 250 lb. on panel they will be working on.

REQUIRED EDUCATION:
Accredited High school diploma or GED and typically 4 or more years' related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Additional secondary duties in other areas will also be performed as required. Will be required to obtain manufacturing certifications on an as needed basis including any associated physical examination. Will be required to perform cleanup and administrative functions as required to support daily activities.

WORK HOURS:
Full-Time/First Shift
6:00 AM - 2:30 PM

ADDITIONAL:
This work assignment has been designated as "safety sensitive" by the Client. Contractors assigned to safety sensitive jobs at the Client site must first complete regulatory preplacement requirements prior to reporting to assignment. Additionally, contractors assigned to safety sensitive work will be subject to random drug and alcohol testing in accordance with federal mandates.

Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
