- Chipton-Ross is seeking a Support Engineering Customer Support Service Specialist 2 for a contract opportunity in Ogden, UT.
100% onsite
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
o Ability to obtain security clearance is required for this position.
o Experience working with teams of diverse backgrounds.
o Ability to communicate with management and Government officials.
o Regular and predictable attendance is required.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
Investigates simple technical, maintenance, operational and quality issues that cannot be resolved by customer. Assists in troubleshooting to understand root cause. Receives customer reports and correlates to established criteria for reportable events. Provides reports and assistance in researching event to determine safety implications. Develops routine in-service correspondence for continued safe and efficient operation and maintenance of equipment. Initiates routine quality investigations. Coordinates limited technical communications between customers, suppliers and Client resources to assure customer requirements are met.
o Provides technical support for maintenance, repair and preventive measures that ensure continued safe and economic operations for customers.
o Applies technical knowledge to research, develop, test and evaluate operations, support programs, modifications, repairs and technical data.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
o Experience performing large scale tests and checkouts.
o Knowledge and experience in test equipment, setup, planning, and automation. Including oscilloscope, multi-meter, signal generators, etc.
o Knowledge of Ohms law and the resistor color code.
o Ability to remain calm and work under pressure.
o Electromechanical assembly experience preferred, specializing in soldering and mil standard connector assembly.
o Experience with test equipment including RF (radio frequency) sources, power meters, and spectrum analyzers.
o Experience in the use of electronic measurement and test equipment.
REQUIRED EDUCATION:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Associate) and typically 1 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Bachelor, 3 years' related work experience, etc.
WORK HOURS:
Full-Time/First Shift
6:30 AM - 5:00 PM
4/10 work schedule
ADDITIONAL:
Travel Required: Possible up to 10% domestic.
Possible OT opportunities.

Duration: 12 months, possible FTE opportunity.
Employment will be contingent on clearing a background check. Must clear prior to start date.
