Chipton-Ross is seeking multiple Integration and Test Electrical Engineer 3's for a contract opportunity in Woodland Hills, CA.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
o 5 Years with Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or qualifying discipline; 3 Years with Master of Science in Electrical Engineering or qualifying discipline, or 1 year with a PhD.
o Active DoD Secret Level security clearance.
o Ability to innovate and lead digital transformation efforts.
o Working knowledge in one of the following languages: MATLAB, Python, C, or C++.
o Demonstrated ability to lead out at solving problems and driving all tasks to completion.
o Ability to work at a fast pace, while multi-tasking, and still communicate effectively.
o Ability to work in a team environment, and lead small projects or teams.
o Strong written and verbal communication skills.
o Hands-on electrical testing and diagnostic experience.
o Experience in Test script development with HW interfaces.
o Experience working with operational hazards such as overhead lifting, Thermal Chambers, and Vibration Test systems.
o Experience with external customer interfacing including meetings, presentations & negotiations.
o Experience performing formal requirements decomposition and/or verification.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
Searching for a Principal Integration and Test to support our Systems Engineering Integration & Test (SEIT) department. As a member of the SEIT department you'll work in a fast-paced team environment alongside physicists, design engineers, and superconducting foundry engineers to make our technologies a reality. This position will serve on-site at Sentinel Program, at our Woodland Hills, CA facility. This position will be 100% on-site.
Job Responsibilities
The candidate will serve as an Integration and Test Electrical Engineer for Sentinel Program, requiring the candidate to function in a dynamic multi-disciplinary environment. Daily responsibilities may include:
o Support the installation, integration, and testing of Commercial-Off-The-Shelf (COTS) and custom equipment used to further research efforts on superconducting microelectronic devices.
o Identify, troubleshoot, and remediate equipment issues to support system build-out and sell-off.
o Communicate project status to the Integration and Test (I&T) IPT Lead.
o Collaborate with research scientists and systems engineers to perform system architecture characterization studies on various system components.
o Design, develop, and implement testing methods for individual pieces of equipment (both custom and COTS) and entire systems.
o Compile data and help to define changes required in testing methodology, equipment, testing procedures, manufacturing processes, and new testing requirements.
o Performing hands-on electrical testing at CCA level test setup and execution.
o Performing hands-on electrical testing at a systems level.
o Incorporating hardware and/or software design changes.
o Documenting & dispositioning hardware discrepancies, pursuing root cause & corrective actions.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
o 8 Years with Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or qualifying discipline; 6 Years with Master of Science in Electrical Engineering or qualifying discipline, or 4 years with a PhD.
o Active TS/SCI with poly security clearance.
o Working knowledge of standard test equipment: network analyzers, oscilloscopes, waveform generators, synthesizers, digitizers, and/or signal analyzers.
o Working knowledge of standard design components: filters, couplers, splitters, amplifiers, etc.
o Experience with MES, or other digital work instruction platform.
o Ability to lead out at solving problems and driving all tasks to completion.
REQUIRED EDUCATION:
Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or qualifying discipline is required.
School must be accredited.
WORK HOURS:
9/80 workweek. Onsite only
