Chipton-Ross is seeking a Systems Engineer 3 for a contract opportunity in Northridge, CA.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
o BS degree in aerospace engineering, physics, software engineering, systems engineering, or a related field is required with 12 years of experience or an MS degree in areas above with 10 years of experience is required.
o Experience specific to weapons system modeling, such as experience with sensor models, relevant environment models, and GNC.
o Experience in using 6DOF simulations for analyzing weapon system performance, including scenario creation and maintenance.
o Strong background in C++.
o Strong background in MATLAB or Python.
o Sufficient background in math and/or physics to facilitate understanding of various 6DOF models.
o Experience working in an AGILE management environment.
o SECRET level clearance with the ability to obtain a SAP level clearance.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
Seeking an analyst, modeling and simulation, or Systems engineer at the staff engineer level.
The successful candidate will be working with simulations that represent our AARGM family of missiles. The initial focus will be using a newer simulation to predict, analyze and understand performance of the SiAW missile. As the embedded software, the simulation infrastructure, and our sensor model are all quite new this task will require significant troubleshooting skills. Therefore several years of experience with C++ and MATLAB are requirements for this position. Experience with relevant python tools is strongly desired.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
o Experience with Anaconda or related tool sets.
o Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
o Experience with Atlassian tool suite or equivalent.
o Experience in high performance computing or monte carlo simulations.
o Experience with embedded software development.
o Experience in technical or team leadership.
o Experience with EVMS.
REQUIRED EDUCATION:
BS degree in aerospace engineering, physics, software engineering, systems engineering, or a related field is required.
School must be accredited.
WORK HOURS:
9/80 work week. 100% on-site.
