Chipton-Ross is seeking 15 Electrical Mechanic III's for a contract opportunity in San Antonio, TX.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
o 10+ years of experience with electrical/electronic theories and avionics systems, shop mathematics and practices.
o 10+ years of experience in working with schematics, specifications, assembly drawings and standard operating procedures.
o 10+ years of experience with component and wire installation to include repairing, modifying, testing and troubleshooting new, experimental, and disturbed systems.
o Ability to work variable shifts including weekends and overtime.
o Regular and predictable attendance is a requirement of this request.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
o Perform connector terminations including shielded wires, coaxial cables, and fiber optic wiring.
o Ability and understanding of routing instructions and handling of harnesses.
o Perform sealing, wrapping, bonding, tying, and closure of wire harnesses and cables in accordance with standard processes.
o Read and interpret engineering drawings, technical orders, process specification, and retrofit requirements to perform electrical modifications and repairs.
o Use tooling assemblies and fixtures for depot level modification and repair of electrical wiring.
o Perform assembly, installation, visual inspection of physical characteristics, modification of wire bundles & electrical assemblies, operational and quality checks of aircraft.
o Troubleshoot organizational and depot maintenance level malfunctions in aircraft electrical and comms/nav-systems.
o Interpret standard work instructions, charts, tables, blueprints, wire diagrams, formulas, sketches, verbal and electronic orders, job layouts, etc.
o Use all equipment in accordance with established safety and operating procedures.
o Perform all tasks involved in the coordination, preparation, and movement of material and tools.
o Operate riding type electric powered elevating equipment to accomplish work assignments.
o Maintain necessary certifications, licenses and permits as required for assigned work.
o Perform all duties of lower Electrical classifications as required to successfully accomplish assignments.
o Successful completion of training is a contingency for this assignment - OJT or formal classroom training.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
o Experience with Avionics.
o Experience with Depot Level/Modification maintenance.
o Operate a forklift, mobile crane, and riding type electric powered elevating equipment to accomplish work assignment.
o FAA certification in Airframe and/or Power Plant.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
o The candidate must be able to ascend and descend vertical work ladders, work in confined spaces, and lift loads of approximately 35 pounds.
o Exposure to noise, working on elevated platforms.
o Use personal protective gear for face, eyes, ears, hand, and arms as required.
o Pass visual acuity and color perception tests.
o Read, write, and comprehend the English language.
o Handle, use, and dispose of hazardous material.
o Obtain & maintain training certifications as required to support assignment responsibilities.
o Occasional (1 to 3 hrs.) finger manipulation.
o On occasion, a 2-person lift may be necessary for weights greater than 50 lbs.
o Frequent reaching overhead (3 to 6 hrs.).
o Frequent walking on flat surfaces.
o Frequent standing flat or uneven surfaces.
o Frequent balancing on a ladder, steps, or uneven surfaces.
o Occasional climbing on 3-12 ft ladders or stands.
o Rotation of head/neck, sitting, crawling, squatting, bend/stoop, lying down, and operate foot controls for an extended period of time.
o Occasional contact with metals.
o Frequent exposure to noise.

REQUIRED EDUCATION:
Accredited High School Diploma/GED.

WORK HOURS: MUST BE OPEN TO WORKING 1st, 2nd or 3rd SHIFT.
