Chipton-Ross is seeking a Tax Accountant I for a hybrid contract opportunity in Irving, TX.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
BS in Accounting. Minimum 2 years of applicable experience. Ability to maintain composure and focus under deadlines. Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with attention to detail. Demonstrated ability to interact and collaborate effectively with peers and business/finance teams. Must be a quick learner, open to change, and able to operate in an international environment.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assist with preparation of annual city and state tax returns for Safran USA subsidiaries with presence in over 28 states, including potential nexus studies. Assist in preparation of any state income tax returns/forms (extensions, regularizations, etc.). Develop documentation to support responses to tax return audits and notices under the direction of a tax team member. Support the tax team on federal income tax, specific taxes, and other tax-related matters. Stay up to date with state income tax legislation and gain exposure to federal and international tax compliance.
DESIRED EXPERIENCE:
Master's in Accounting or Tax. CPA or CPA-eligible. Experience with large consolidated state returns. Exposure to OneSource tax provision and return preparation software.

Accredited BS in Accounting
WORK HOURS:
Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
