Chipton-Ross is seeking a Systems Engineer III for a contract opportunity in Berkeley, MO.
This position is 100% onsite.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
Must have the ability to obtain a Secret Clearance
Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in airframe integration and verification, with a focus on military or commercial aircraft. Strong knowledge of airframe systems, structures, and materials. Experience with test planning, execution, and data analysis. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
Lead the integration and verification of airframe systems testing activities, ensuring all systems meet performance and safety specifications and requirements. Participate in flight test readiness reviews, test plan and test matrix development. Coordinate with Flight Test POCs for test execution, test monitoring, and data collection for verification. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including design, manufacturing, and quality to resolve issues. Analyze test data and recommend design improvements. Support the development of airframe specifications and documentation. Mentor junior engineers. Participate in design reviews. Track tasking progress weekly. Develop and maintain customer and peer relationships.
DESIRED EXPERIENCE:
Experience with the T-7 platform or similar aircraft. Knowledge of systems engineering principles. Experience with MBSE methodologies. Familiarity with FAA, MIL-STD, and other regulatory standards. Proficiency with modeling, simulation, and engineering analysis tools.
REQUIRED EDUCATION:
Accredited BS in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, Data Science, or Computer Science
WORK HOURS:
Full-Time
Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
