Chipton-Ross is seeking a Test Engineer for a contract opportunity in Chelmsford, MA.
This position is 100% onsite.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
Experience using Microsoft Office products to generate status reports, project plans, and work instructions
Experience writing, editing, and supporting existing software code base using LabVIEW and/or Test Stand software
Experience analyzing and resolving problems
Ability to manage and prioritize workload consisting of multiple concurrent tasks
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Experience effectively working on teams
Ability to work with minimal detailed direction to deliver desired results
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
Plans, implements, tests, documents, and maintains solutions for the integration and testing of in-house developed and COTS/GOTS components, elements, subsystems, and/or systems. Synthesizes customer contractual needs and requirements into system test solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints. Establishes functional and technical specifications and standards, solves hardware/software interface problems, defines input/output parameters, and ensures integration of the entire system or subsystem. Reviews, evaluates, and derives requirements for testability, develops and directs preparation and execution of comprehensive test plans, procedures, and schedules for complete systems and/or subsystems. Coordinates subsystem and/or system testing activities with programs and other organizations. Performs analysis of test results and prepares comprehensive subsystem and/or system-level evaluation reports which verify and validate system performance. Writes discrepancy reports and performs integration regression testing to verify/validate incorporated fixes.
DESIRED EXPERIENCE:
A minimum of 9 years of professional-level experience preferred
Success in implementing methods to measure electrical parameters for components and subassemblies
Subject matter expertise in RF or Microwave systems
Development experience with NI LabVIEW and/or Test Stand environments
Track record of specifying components for test equipment design
Ability to troubleshoot down to test instruments, software, fixtures, or unit under test
Proficiency generating assembly and block diagram sketches and other engineering documentation
Familiarity with corrective/preventative action processes
Strong background in deriving test requirements from design or system requirements
Experience preparing technical presentations or trade studies
Proven collaboration with multidisciplinary teams and organizations

Accredited Bachelor's Degree

Thursday-Sunday, 5:30 AM - 4:00 PM)
Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
