Chipton-Ross is seeking an Embedded Software Engineer for a contract opportunity in Grand Prairie, TX.
This position is 100% onsite.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
Active Secret Security Clearance required to start
Full-time onsite availability required
Experience in real-time software generation
Hands-on experience with hardware testing and/or embedded systems and/or simulation systems
Proficient in C and C++ (version 11 or higher) in a Real-Time Operating System or Linux environment
Experience with Hardware-in-the-Loop (HWIL) systems
Experience in simulation (performance, real-time) software development
Experience with low-level device drivers or firmware
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop and maintain real-time simulation code, user interface code, device driver code, data collection code, and display code
Support full software development lifecycle from requirement analysis through integration
Identify and resolve software engineering issues in support of prototype environments
Ensure software under test meets design and program objectives
Collaborate with cross-functional teams and customers as needed
DESIRED EXPERIENCE:
Full software lifecycle exposure
Cross-discipline team collaboration
Experience with Git and GitLab for version control and CI/CD
Exposure to FPGA code and software interfaces
Extensive experience in HWIL development and testing
Familiarity with Jira for Agile project management
Experience with Python and GoogleTest for automated unit/integration testing
Software-to-FPGA integration
REQUIRED EDUCATION:
Accredited Bachelor's degree plus 8-10 years of experience, or Master's degree plus 6-8 years of experience
WORK HOURS:
4/10A - 1st Shift
Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
