Chipton-Ross is seeking an Embedded/Test Equipment Software Engineer 3 for a contract opportunity in Chandler, AZ.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
o Bachelor of Science/Engineering degree in Computer Science, Computer Systems, or related degree and 6 years of related experience, or a Master of Science degree in a related discipline and 4 years of related experience.
o Software development experience in C, C++, C# and/or Java in Linux and/or Windows environment.
o Active DoD Secret security clearance investigated within the last 5 years.
o This position requires the applicant to be a U.S. citizen.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
Looking for a Software Engineer - Embedded/Test Equipment. As a Software Engineer working for the Glide Phase Interceptor Program, you will play a pivotal role in performing software development and hardware/computer in loop design and testing activities for our program. This position will serve on-site at Launch Vehicles in Chandler, AZ.
Responsibilities:
o Supports test equipment hardware and software requirements planning, architecture development, detailed design, and integration/startup of real time computer and full hardware in loop test laboratories.
o Develops test equipment hardware and software architectures to support real time distorted scene injection into flight hardware, as part of test laboratory development.
o Develops GPU software to predict and mimic flight condition scenarios in real time test environment.
o Ensures software standards are met.
o Work in a collaborative multi discipline team environment.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
o Experience in design, integration and testing with real time computer in loop and hardware in loop test laboratories.
o Experience in developing interfaces to support weapon system integration efforts.
o Familiarity with 6 degree of freedom simulation systems and integration of 6DoF simulation models into a real time environment for test as you fly scenarios.
o Experience IR scene injection into electronics for processing in real time embedded flight firmware/software.
o GPU Development experience to present real time constrained scene generation.
o Experience working in an Agile framework and team environment. Ability to work with multi discipline team and a dynamic work environment.
REQUIRED EDUCATION:
Bachelor of Science/Engineering degree in Computer Science, Computer Systems, or related degree is required.
School must be accredited.
WORK HOURS:
9/80 workweek. 1st shift.
MISCELLANEOUS:
