Chipton-Ross is seeking multiple Assemblers for a contract opportunity in Oldsmar, FL.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
Minimum of 2-5 years of experience and a proven track record in mechanical assembly and test
Demonstrated ability to multi-task and remain highly organized in a high-volume production environment
Comfortable working with cross-functional teams
Ability to learn quickly and adapt to a fast-paced environment
Strong commitment to teamwork and process
Detail-oriented, specifically regarding paperwork
Experience in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Access)
5+ years of experience in a related field; high precision timing and test measurements experience a plus
Ability to sit in a stationary position for long periods
Frequent use of manufacturing and test equipment and exposure to computer screens
Ability to occasionally lift 25-50 pounds
Ability to multi-task, often performing multiple functions simultaneously
Must be a U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or protected individual under 8 USC 1324b(a)(3)
Must be 18 years old with a high school diploma or GED
Must pass a medical exam as outlined in the supplier guide
Must be able to read/write English
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
Perform support assembly work installing a variety of mechanical and electrical components
Follow established procedures in assembly operations
Incorporate engineering changes and upgrade reworks on field return units
Perform several complex electro-mechanical assembly tasks
Component board stuffing, both through-hole and surface mount
Assemble modules and subassemblies using approved soldering, wiring/cabling, connector installation, and bonding
Top-level system integration of PCBAs, modules, subassemblies, components, and housings
De-solder and rework failed components on PCBAs, modules, and subassemblies
UV curing of epoxies and conformal coatings
Operate solder reflow machines
Mask and conformal coat boards
Perform die and wire bonding
Use process ovens for curing and cleaning of parts
Adhere to ESD protocols and wear required PPE
Maintain accurate records including timekeeping and safety training
Use computers to access work instructions, log discrepancies, record time, schedule tasks, and communicate via email
DESIRED EXPERIENCE:
J-STD-001 Certification
J-STD-001 Space Addendum Certification
IPC-A-610 Inspection Certification
Ability to multi-task while paying careful attention to detail
Prior success working both individually and in a team environment
Good written and verbal communication skills
Ability to follow written and verbal direction
Ability to read, comprehend, and follow detailed work specifications
Excellent listening skills
Adaptability to frequent change and improvements
Regular and predictable attendance
Ability to wear required protective equipment
Basic computer, math, and reading comprehension skills
REQUIRED EDUCATION:
Accredited HSD/GED

4/10 work schedule
2nd Shift
3:30 PM - 2:00 AM EST
Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
