Description


Chipton-Ross is seeking multiple Sheet Metal Mechanics for a contract opportunity in Greenville, SC.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
Minimum 8 years of aviation production drilling/structures experience
Experience with precision drilling, countersinking, and reaming precision holes
Experience installing fasteners, drilling bulkheads, skins, and building up fuselage components
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and engineering drawings
Experience with FAA regulations and aircraft modification standards
Ability to perform hands-on production work including climbing on fuselage parts, kneeling, and using ladders/stands
Experience with bench work and aircraft sheet metal repairs
Ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced production environment

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
Plan, lay out, fabricate, assemble, install, and repair internal and external aircraft structures
Perform heavy precision drilling and structural assembly on the F-16 production line
Conduct inspections and ensure compliance with technical and quality standards
Participate in 3-week block training to learn Client-specific specifications and processes
Support production and manufacturing teams with hands-on structural work

DESIRED EXPERIENCE:
Experience with blueprint reading and aircraft sheet metal repairs
Familiarity with Lockheed Martin specifications and production environments

REQUIRED EDUCATION:
Accredited High School Diploma or Equivalent

WORK HOURS:
4/10 work schedule

Must be able to work any shift, including off-shifts (2nd or weekends)

Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
