- Chipton-Ross is seeking a Warehouse Associate for a contract opportunity in Ventura, CA.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
Experience performing manual and clerical shipping and receiving duties
Familiarity with warehouse operations and shipping practices
Ability to use computer systems for tracking, logging, verifying, and reporting
Experience receiving incoming materials and preparing materials for shipment
Ability to unpack, wrap, and verify items such as finished products, raw stock, assemblies, and equipment
Experience verifying quantity, weight, and conformance of materials
Ability to process freight bills, packing sheets, and bills of lading
Experience posting weight and shipping charges and routing merchandise
Steel toe safety shoes required
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
Perform shipping and receiving tasks in a central warehouse environment
Follow transportation routing, schedules, and shipping procedures
Use business systems to log and track materials
Ensure accurate documentation and routing of shipments
DESIRED EXPERIENCE:
Experience in a manufacturing or logistics environment
Familiarity with safety procedures and material handling
REQUIRED EDUCATION:
Accredited High School Diploma or Equivalent
WORK HOURS:
5/40 work schedule
1st Shift Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
