Chipton-Ross is seeking a Design and Analysis Engineer (Level 6) for a contract opportunity in Albuquerque, NM.



BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (including manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
  • 3+ years of experience developing subsystem requirements
  • 5+ years of experience researching, developing, or evaluating electrical, electronic, computer, software and/or firmware requirements
  • 5+ years of experience with the design, development, and integration of complex electronic systems or subsystems
  • 5+ years of experience with analog and/or digital circuit design, packaging techniques, and/or power systems
  • POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

    This role will focus on designing and testing advanced concepts for the Department of Defense. Our program is starting the path to a systems requirements review. The primary responsibility of this individual will be working with a multi-disciplined engineering team to decompose system level requirements to electronic subsystems/components. This position will serve as our lead Electronics Engineer for a team tasked with requirements definition, and design/development/test of new electronic hardware solutions. The ideal candidate will have experience with electronic design (analog and digital); high speed, low latency systems; firmware development, requirements tracking/verification; assembly and test of subsystems; integration of subsystems into the final system; and a passion for finding solutions to solve interesting problems. Duties may include (but are not limited to):
  • Develops and documents moderately complex electronic and electrical system requirements.
  • Designs hardware, software, firmware and interface specifications.
  • Develops test plans to validate system designs against operational and functional requirements.
  • Solves problems concerning fielded hardware and software over the entire product lifecycle.
  • Research specific technology advances potential application to company business needs.
  • Work with suppliers for board/electronics hardware prototyping and manufacturing.
  • Mentoring entry-level and mid-career engineers in electronic design best practices.
  • PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

  • Experience with high speed, low latency electronic design
  • Experience with firmware development
  • REQUIRED EDUCATION:

    Minimum of a Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (including manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science. In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

    WORK HOURS:

    FULL TIME/FIRST SHIFT; 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
