Chipton-Ross is seeking a Data Solution Architect (Level 4) for a contract opportunity in Everett, WA.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in developing data warehousing solutions, dashboards, scorecards, and analytics.
- Proficient in writing T-SQL code, SSIS packages, and Stored Procedures on Microsoft SQL Server.
- Strong knowledge of data integration and ETL processes, with experience in designing and implementing efficient data pipelines.
- Proficiency in system architecture design, including selecting appropriate database technologies, data warehousing solutions, and distributed computing frameworks.
- Familiarity with AI concepts and algorithms, with the ability to collaborate with data scientists in implementing AI models and integrating them into data systems.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to monitor and optimize the performance of data systems, ensuring data quality, integrity, and security.
- Proficient in writing Rest API/mTLS to extract data from various physical and cloud databases/data lakes.
- Experience in Data Visualization / UX Designer skills - designs user flows and interfaces for data-driven applications and dashboards.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Designs, develops, and maintains ETL routines and reporting using Microsoft SQL Server and Power BI.
- Identifies and recommends changes to optimize the ETL environment, implement monitoring, quality and validation processes to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
- Conducts or coordinates unit and system tests ensuring intelligence is consistent with defined needs.
- Designs and deploys database table structures, reports, and queries.
- Supports implemented BI solutions by monitoring and tuning queries and data loads, addressing user questions concerning data integrity, monitoring performance, and communicating functional and technical issues.
- Conducts comparison processes to identify and develop process improvements; provides recommendations on next steps and manages deliverables.
- Documents specifications for Data Warehouse (DWH) extracts, reports, dashboards, or other outputs.
- Facilitates and leads project planning and execution with cross functional teams across the organization.
- Design, develop, maintain, and optimize current AP Systems Reporting infrastructure systems (Including on Prem SQL Db, data warehouses, and cloud lake house)
- Guides other data and analytics professionals on data standards and practices
- Work closely with AP Systems business intelligence experts to ensure data product attributes accurately represent business process outputs to drive actionable reporting and modeling insights.
- Build repeatable data pipeline strategy across multi environments, leverage automation to make sure ETL solutions are repeatable and scalable
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 10-15+ years data engineering experience and transforming internal businesses through automation and other technologies.
- Aviation Industry Experience Strongly Preferred.
REQUIRED EDUCATION Accredited education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years' related work experience, Master+7 years' related work experience, 13 years' related work experience, etc.). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
WORK HOURS FULL TIME/FIRST SHIFT; 8:00 AM - 4:30 PMEmployment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
