Chipton-Ross is seeking an Engineering Technician for a contract opportunity in Wichita, KS.



BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):

  • Education in the use of Autodesk CAD products is essential.
  • The contract Engineering/CAD Technician must be computer fluent with proficiency in Autodesk CAD software and the MS office suite.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills are required.
  • Customer service and team building skills
  • The work is very detailed so the candidate must be able to self-check for accuracy and must be willing to accept guidance.

    POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Under the guidance of the Document Manager, the contract CAD Technician assists the Engineering nalysts by revising existing drawings from as-built field corrections and, after training, by updating Issued for Construction (IFC) drawing packages.
  • Documents include internal Evergy drawings, external vendor drawings and supporting documents.
  • After additional training, the position will assist the Engineering Tech to liaison between engineering and field personnel who construct or maintain company facilities
  • Create and publish new Issued for Construction drawing packages

    • REQUIRED EDUCATION:

  • Accredited degree in a technology related field

    • WORK HOURS:

  • Full-Time
  • 1st Shift


    • Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
