Description

Chipton-Ross is seeking a Assembler (Level C) for a contract opportunity in Mesa, AZ.



BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):

  • Assembly Process:
  • Aviation mechanical and Structural experience with Knowledge of assembly and production processes, manufacturing capabilities (e.g., composites, structures), and data needed for defining delivery configurations (e.g., design definition, program directives, engineering drawings, change memos, wiring diagrams and schematics, functional tests, supplier data). Ability to differentiate production (manufacturing) processes and requirements from in-service procedures and requirements.
  • Assembly Tools:
  • Knowledge of function specific specialized tools (e.g., sheet metal--cornice brakes, metal shears, pneumatic rivet squeezers, cold-hardening kits; electrical--crimpers, wire routing tools, multimeters)
  • Engineering Drawings & Specs:
  • Ability to read, understand, and interpret engineering drawings and specifications (e.g., blueprint/schematic reading, specification, change, design).
  • General Shop Processes:
  • Complete knowledge of shop processes to include Foreign Object Damage/Debris (FOD) prevention, material handling, safety, calibration requirements and Electrostatic Discharge (ESD).

    POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES Performs complex production assembly operations on assigned aircraft including structural parts, mechanical assemblies, subassemblies and aircraft systems, equipment and accessories using manual or automated assembly tools. Regular and predictable attendance is required.

    REQUIRED EDUCATION Education/experience typically acquired through basic education (e.g. High School diploma/GED) and typically 4 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. vocational school/Associate+2 years' related work, Bachelor, etc.).

    WORK HOURS FULL TIME/FIRST SHIFT; 5:00 AM - 1:30 PM

    ADDITIONAL This work assignment has been designated as "safety-sensitive" by the Client. Contractors assigned to safety-sensitive jobs at the Client site must first complete regulatory pre-placement requirements prior to reporting to assignment. Additionally, contractors assigned to safety-sensitive work will be subject to random drug and alcohol testing in accordance with federal mandates.


    Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
