Chipton-Ross is seeking 2 Project Engineers (Level 4) for a contract opportunity in Hazelwood, MO.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
- Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
- 3+ years of experience leading teams in a formal and/or informal role
- 5+ years of experience with project management in an engineering environment
- Experience developing technical proposal responses and estimates
- Experience developing and tracking program plans/schedules and budgets for technical projects
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provides the Engineering leadership to a team representing multiple skill areas, which may include internal and external resources and customers. Develops statement of work (SOW) to satisfy research and development, ongoing and new business requirements. Works with customers and management to obtain approval. Responds to changes to SOW, assesses the impact and negotiates proposed changes to determine modifications to the deliverables, resources, costs and schedules. Leads project execution to complete the work statement. Identifies performance metrics. Plans, identifies, and coordinates resources required over the life of the project or program. Defines plans for risk mitigation and opportunity. Compares actual results to baseline plan to assess project performance, efficiencies, productivity and lessons learned. Provides technical, business and integration leadership for the development and execution of project or team plans. Works under minimal direction. · The Government Training Engineering (GTE) team is seeking a highly motivated Project Engineer to serve in the role of USN Air Dominance Principal Engineer, located in Berkeley, Missouri. The selected candidate will join the Office of the Chief Engineer (OCE) and will be responsible for leading engineering proposal activities in support of new business opportunities for the F/A-18, MQ-25, or T-45 platform. Further, the role will lead planning and execution of training device projects as they relate to the USN training. · The USN Air Dominance OCE is responsible for the proposal, development, integration, delivery, and sustainment of a wide range of world-class training solutions to train the next generation of pilots. Your role includes project management, technical leadership and a strong desire to get the job done. You will be collaborating with the engineering teams and program management to maintain a common vision and deliver winning products. · The USN product portfolio is an exciting, dynamic program that is dedicated to breaking the norm.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
- 5+ years of experience leading teams in a formal and/or informal role
- 7+ years of experience in engineering project management
- Experience with Training Systems and/or cliet military aircraft platforms
- Experience with acquisition processes (e.g. DoD Acquisition, Foreign Military Sales, Direct Commercial Sales)
- Experience with Internal Research and Development (IRAD) projects
- Cost account management and/or earned value management experience
- Experience working within a SAFe Agile team
REQUIRED EDUCATION:
Minimum of a Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years' related work experience, Master+7 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
WORK HOURS FULL TIME/FIRST SHIFT; 8:00 AM - 4:00
