Chipton-Ross is seeking a Swiss Machinist/ CNC Programmer for a contract opportunity in Hawthorne, CA.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):

  • Experience with Swiss CNC machining
  • Familiarity with FANUC controls
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
  • Ability to Operate + Set Up/Tear Down + Program
  • Previous hands-on experience in Swiss machining
  • Ability to read blueprints and use precision measurement tools
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Commitment to safety and quality standards

    • POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Complete full machine setups, changeovers, and tear-downs
  • Troubleshoot equipment and ensure machines run efficiently
  • Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
    • Create, modify, and optimize CNC programs for Swiss •machines
  • Strong knowledge of FANUC required
  • Improve cycle times and production efficiency
  • Operate Swiss-style CNC machines (FANUC controls)
  • Maintain production flow and monitor part quality
  • Perform minor adjustments and follow machining instructions

    • REQUIRED EDUCATION:

  • Accredited HSD/GED
