Chipton-Ross is seeking a Aeronautical Engineer for a contract opportunity in Palmdale, CA.



BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):

  • Active secret clearance
  • 10+ recent years of CATIA V5
  • 10+ Metallic and composite experience
    • extensive hypersonic experience to support ARRW program.
  • Previous experience Leading a team of designers.
  • The successful candidate must have experience integrating multiple disciplines including aerodynamics (including hypersonic), materials and processes (including extremely high temperature materials such as C-C and various metallics such as TZM and Rene), computer aided design (preferably CATIA V5), structural analysis, propulsion (both rocket and air-breathing), thermodynamics, electronics and controls, and actuation systems.
  • The successful candidate must have experience with the ARRW glide body design including unique production aspects including experience with MRB authority.
    • •The successful candidate should be familiar with a variety of weapon system types including air breathing, hypersonic, and boost-glider platforms.

    POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • The successful candidate will be capable of leading design efforts across multiple portfolio platforms including design synthesis, Preliminary Design efforts (or similar) including PDR type reporting, Critical Design efforts (or similar) including CDR type reporting, cross discipline trade studies including CAIV, affordability, producibility
  • Drawing Release, CCB Support and change management, production coordination, supplier technical coordination, MRB oversight and management, and FRB support activities and SOW scope tracking.

  • 1st Shift


    • Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
