Chipton-Ross is seeking 2 Tool and Die Makers for a contract opportunity in San Antonio, TX.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
o 5 + years of experience as a Machinists or Tool Maker. o 5 + years of experience operating manual mill and manual lathe machines. o 5 + years of experience reading and understanding engineering drawings, blueprints, schematics, and specifications. o 5 + years of experience working with precision measuring tools. o Regular and predictable attendance is a requirement of this request.POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
Client is looking for a Tool and Die Maker to join our SAMC team in San Antonio, TX.
o Fabricate, repair, and maintain various tools, dies, and fixtures used in the manufacturing process. o Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications to create precise tooling components. o Operate manual machining equipment, such as lathes, milling machines, and grinders. o Utilize measuring instruments, both in the shop and out on the aircraft, to ensure accuracy and quality of work. o Collaborate with engineers and other team members to develop innovative solutions for tooling needs. o Perform inspections and quality checks to ensure compliance with specifications and standards. o Assist with aircraft structures III work, including assembly, installation, and repair tasks as needed. o Fabrication of aircraft parts.
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options. San Antonio, TX.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
o Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Tool and Die Maker. o Knowledge of aircraft structures III and related processes. o Flexibility to work on aircraft structures III tasks as required. o Strong communication and teamwork abilities. o Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Successful completion of training is a contingency for this assignment - OJT or formal classroom training.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
o Must be able to lift up to 35lbs. o Must be able to stand for long periods of time.REQUIRED EDUCATION:
Accredited High school or GED.WORK HOURS:
MUST BE OPEN TO WORKING 1st or 2nd SHIFT.PER CLIENT:

OT/weekend work: As required.Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
