Chipton-Ross is seeking multiple Mechanical Technician 3's for a contract opportunity in Chandler, AZ.



BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):

  • Minimum 4 years relevant experience or 2 years relevant experience with a graduate degree
  • Experience with hand tools
  • Able to work on-site (not remote)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • U.S. Citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret level security clearance
  • POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Technician within the Mechanical Engineering Instrumentation and Test group. Candidate needs to be a strong communicator who takes ownership of tasks and problems. Communication will include need to provide both formal and informal status to direct manager, as well as other leads and managers in other groups and departments as required. The candidate will need to work directly with engineers, managers, and technicians from Mechanical and Energetics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Manufacturing, Integration and Test, and Quality. Candidate will support a variety of duties including:
  • Conduct vibration testing on various parts and subsystems on electrodynamic shaker tablesC
  • Perform hands on test setup and instrumentation - mounting unit on/off shaker table and installing accelerometers
  • Perform table top reviews
  • Post process test data and provide input to test reports
  • Support test equipment maintenance and maintain a clean and organized work environment
  • Work in close collaboration with other technicians and engineers
  • PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

  • Experience with environmental and/or vibration testing
  • Experience with instrumentation and data logging equipment
  • Experience in an aerospace environment
  • Experience with pneumatic and/or ordnance testing
  • Secret level security clearance
  • Experience using Siemens NX to design parts and assemblies
  • Experience using Teamcenter
  • REQUIRED EDUCATION:

    High school diploma or equivalent is required. School must be accredited.

    HOURS:
    9/80 workweek.

    MISCELLANEOUS:

    Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
