Chipton-Ross is seeking a Material Coordinator for a contract opportunity in San Antonio, TX.



BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):

Ability to obtain security clearance is required for this position. This position will require the ability to obtain customer approval for access. Dual citizenship or prior citizenship of any other country may preclude ability to obtain access. A 3rd party background check relating to personal and business finances, residences, employment history, past drug use, prior military service, and criminal behavior will be conducted. Able to use warehouse equipment. Requires rotating shift support. Requires 2-3 years stockroom/crib procedures experience for satisfactory performance. Requires Computer experience and competency. Experience working with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). 3+ years of experience working in a computer-based inventory management system or warehouse management system. 1+ years of experience managing aspects of Government property such as Acquisition, Receiving, Identification Movement, disposition, contract closeout, subcontractor control, records, utilization and physical inventory.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

Seeking an experienced Material Coordinator to support our program in San Antonio, TX. They will responsible for maintaining the program tool crib area and work with our suppliers/customers to ensure all required tooling is controlled and managed per site processes and procedures.

o To process, verify, route, and appropriately store, order, deliver, track and maintain various supplies and materials in accordance with prescribed storage and delivery methods per Company and customer requirements. o Performs tasks such as shipping, receiving, inspecting, driving, using material handling equipment, computer operation, etc. o Able to read and interpret work orders, requisition part lists, specifications, shipping and receiving documents, etc. o Ability to document and maintain material requisitions, picking instructions, etc. o Able to apply basic mathematics to count, add, subtract, inventory parts and supplies, etc. o Able to set up and operate a variety of hand tools: hammers, crowbars, wire counters, etc. o Able to fabricate special containers as required for shipment of parts per Company and customer specifications. o Able to operate company vehicles and other GSE equipment required for delivery and storing of material and supplies. o Able to operate a terminal or computer to input, retrieve and interpret information regarding ordering, inventory and tracking of stock. o Able to set up and operate stationary and portable barcode readers, pan stock counting and packing equipment and banding equipment. o Able to operate overhead cranes, hoists, side loaders, forklifts, tow motors, etc. o Maintain tools and equipment and work area. o Able to consolidate parts and assemble into parts kits, hazardous material kits, tooling kits, etc. o Able to prepare parts for storage according to procedures. o Ability to stock and issue a variety of parts and crib items including sealers and hazardous materials. o Ability to perform rough cutting and non-angular cutting of materials, primarily tubing. o Ability to ride in picker machinery to high storage bins to store and retrieve parts. o Verifies materials and merchandise as received against receiving documents: Reports discrepancies and damage. o Routes materials to prescribed storage location in accordance with prescribed storage procedures. o Conducts inventory of stored materials and reports deterioration/ damage. o Removes and issues material from storage and prepares it for shipment. o Responsible for complying with all rules and regulations concerning health and safety, tool control, FOD, contracts, facilities, housekeeping, inventory control and other pertinent coverage's. o Reviews and analyzes production scheduling requirements to determine products, materials, and actions necessary to ensure the availability of sufficient materials and hardware to meet schedules. o Identifies, investigates, analyzes and determines best solutions and coordinates the resolution of problems to ensure adherence to quality standards, schedules and budgets for material costs. o At times may perform in-depth analysis of complex problems related to material requirement, inventories, schedules and configuration control. o Performs other duties as directed by supervision and management for the benefit of the company, program, and employee(s).

Successful completion of training is a contingency for this assignment - OJT or formal classroom training.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

o The candidate must be able to ascend and descend vertical work ladders, work in confined spaces, and lift loads of approximately 35 pounds. o Exposure to noise, working on elevated platforms. o Use personal protective gear for face, eyes, ears, hand, and arms as required. o Pass visual acuity and color perception tests. o Read, write, and comprehend the English language. o Handle, use, and dispose of hazardous material. o Obtain & maintain training certifications as required to support assignment responsibilities. o Occasional (1 to 3 hrs.) finger manipulation. o On occasion, a 2-person lift may be necessary for weights greater than 50 lbs. o Frequent reaching overhead (3 to 6 hrs.). o Frequent walking on flat surfaces. o Frequent standing flat or uneven surfaces. o Frequent balancing on a ladder, steps, or uneven surfaces. o Occasional climbing on 3-12 ft ladders or stands. o Rotation of head/neck, sitting, crawling, squatting, bend/stoop, lying down, and operate foot controls for an extended period of time. o Occasional contact with metals. o Frequent exposure to noise.

REQUIRED EDUCATION:

Accredited High school or GED.

WORK HOURS:

4th shift - rotating. MUST BE OPEN TO WORKING 1st, 2nd or 3rd SHIFT.
