Chipton-Ross is seeking a Quality Productionpecialist 3 for a contract opportunity in Andrews AFB, MD.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
- 5+ years of experience in support equipment
- 5+ years of Quality Assurance Inspector experience (CDI, CDQAR, QAR, 7 level or higher)
- Willing to work variable shifts (shift 1, 2, or 3)
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
Reviews and validates product non-conformances and disposition type, quality procedures and engineering requirements. Performs analysis to identify and evaluate the quality of products, operations and processes to Quality Management System requirements, applicable company procedures, contract requirements or government regulations. Applies knowledge of aerospace design, systems and integration to perform failure and forensic analysis of aerospace components and systems. Trains and mentors fellow employees in the Quality Management System. Performs root cause analysis on the nonconformance to identify the cause and prevent reoccurrence. Independently develops, modifies and documents actions to assure problem resolution or to implement corrective/preventive action and documents resolution. Obtains corrective action on nonconforming plans and hardware/processes. Negotiates concurrence, obtains commitments for taking preventive and corrective action, prioritizes quality activities and ensures problem resolution. Reviews and validates the corrective action plans and identifies effectivity to ensure completion. Reviews and approves Quality planning changes or disposition of nonconformance hardware products/processes. Guides validation of configuration management, quality procedures and material review policies to deliver the software products. Develops software system processes to support changing industry standards. Reviews and implements corrective action on audit results to ensure media is stored and handled per engineering defined requirements. Interprets industry standards and provide recommendations for implementation. Creates analytical reports and coordinates with the responsible parties for internal/external distribution. Works under general direction. Duties may include (but are not limited to):
- Develops and motivates a team of diverse skills, capability, and experience to maximize individual and team performance.
- Performs inspections on aircraft ground support equipment
- Maintains Quality directives, policies, processes, procedures and metrics to assure program, contract, customer, regulatory requirements, international standards and working agreements are deployed using established procedures
- Collects and verifies data to support the identification of root cause routine problems
- Performs internal audits to determine compliance with Quality Management System standards, configuration assurance, related business, regulatory and customer requirements
- Documents audit results in standard formats
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
- Technical data experience USN or USAF
- DCMA INST 8210.1C experience
- AS9100 Revision D experience
- Experience using or applying metrics to measure performance against projects to ensure high quality delivery
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to meet physical demands of the role such as: flexion/extension (head bent down, head bent back), handling, kneeling, bending at the waist, reaching (overhead), rotation of head/neck, standing, twisting at the waist and walking, climbing/balancing (stairs, ladders, poles, scaffolding, inclined surfaces), crawling, crouching (squatting).
- Carry/Lift up to 35 pounds.
- Ability to work with High Hazard Chemicals.
REQUIRED EDUCATION Accredited education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Associate) and typically 3 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Bachelor+1 years' related work experience, 5 years' related work experience, etc.).TRAVEL:
Willing and able to travel 25% domestically and internationally.
WORK HOURS FULL TIME/VARIABLE SHIFT: Willing to work variable shifts (shift 1, 2, or 3).PER CLIENT:
