Chipton-Ross is seeking an Assembler for a contract opportunity in Orlando, FL.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to understand and operate simple machinery.
- Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment and meet deadlines.
- Basic computer skills and ability to operate label printing software.
- Physical ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 25 pounds, and move around the production area.
- Ability to work in a team environment and follow established safety protocols.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
- Understanding of electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
- Ability to identify and interpret dimensions, tolerances, and other specifications.
SKILLS MATRIX:

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Manufacturing Assembler in the Buy & Mark area is responsible for accurately labeling commercial off the shelf (COTS) cables and assets according to established label charts. This role ensures that all components are correctly identified, tracked, and ready for downstream assembly or shipment, supporting on time delivery and compliance with quality standards. Core Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret detailed label charts, work instructions, and part lists.
- Verify that the correct revision and version of each chart are being used.
- Select, position, and affix the appropriate labels to cables, connectors, and related assets.
- Ensure labels are legible, properly oriented, and securely attached.
- Perform visual inspections to confirm correct labeling and placement.
- Conduct spot checks against reference documentation; report any discrepancies.
- Record labeling activities in the production tracking system (e.g., MES, SAP).
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to 6S standards.
- Follow established safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
- Collaborate with production team members to meet production deadlines and achieve quality goals.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
- IPC experience or electrical assembly experience greatly preferred.
- Previous experience in a production or manufacturing environment.
- Familiarity with wire cutting and label printing equipment.
- Basic knowledge of electrical assemblies and wiring configurations.
- Certification in a related field, such as IPC.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- PPE: Gloves and safety glasses to be provided as needed.
REQUIRED EDUCATION:
- Accredited High School Diploma or GED.
WORK HOURS:
- Full-Time-4/10-1st Shift.
- The Buy & Mark Assembler will work a standard 10-hour shift, first shift, Monday through Thursday, with occasional overtime as needed
* The employee may be required to work flexible hours or adjust their schedule to meet production deadlines.Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
