Chipton-Ross is seeking a Full-Stack Engineer for a remote contract opportunity.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
- Infrastructure as Code experience using AWS CloudFormation or similar tools.
- Experience programmatically interacting with APIs using Shell scripting, Python, or similar languages.
- Experience building CI/CD pipelines, preferably with GitLab and/or Jenkins.
- JIRA administration experience.
- Strong understanding of AWS cloud computing fundamentals.
AWS Certifications such as Solutions Architect – Professional, DevOps Engineer – Professional, SysOps Administrator, or Developer Associate.- Experience with SSO, SAML, OAuth, and Active Directory integration.
- Experience contributing to enterprise-wide DevSecOps standards, governance, and automation strategies.
- AI & Automation Competencies: (MUST-HAVE)
- Familiarity with AIOps practices including anomaly detection, log analysis automation, predictive alerting, and noise reduction.
- Experience integrating AI/ML capabilities into DevSecOps workflows (e.g., automated code review, documentation generation, incident triage, predictive infrastructure scaling).
- Practical knowledge of AI-enabled observability platforms (e.g., Dynatrace Davis AI, Datadog Watchdog, Splunk ITSI) and leveraging them for intelligent monitoring and alerting.
- Understanding of AI-enhanced GitLab features for code suggestions, vulnerability analysis, and root cause investigation.
- Exposure to automation orchestration tools like Airflow for workflow and data pipeline automation is a plus.
- Ability to identify when traditional rule-based automation is sufficient versus AI-driven solutions for optimal efficiency and cost savings.
- 5+ years of technical experience across IT disciplines including systems administration, software development, operations, networking, and/or security; or 3 years with a related Master's degree.
- Experience with the full software development lifecycle and Agile delivery practices.
- Strong troubleshooting, critical thinking, and attention to detail.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintain, enhance, and support ACOE DevSecOps tools, including GitLab, JIRA, Nexus, and other enterprise platforms.
- Drive automation of tool deployments, updates, and maintenance using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and GitOps workflows.
- Implement and support real-time monitoring, proactive alerting, and reliability practices for DevSecOps tools.
- Collaborate with development, operations, and security teams to improve processes and ensure alignment with enterprise standards.
- Support the transformation of legacy services to modern automated pipelines and code-driven infrastructure designs.
- Serve as a technical mentor, promoting best practices across DevSecOps and SRE disciplines.
