Description

Chipton-Ross is seeking 2 Assemblers (Level A) for a contract opportunity in Layton, UT.



BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):

  • Ability to complete and maintain required certifications
  • Read and interpret information

    • POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Performs simple production assembly operations on structural and mechanical assemblies, subassemblies and electrical systems, equipment and accessories using manual operations.
  • Individuals will be responsible for identifying parts, tooling, and interpreting drawings.
  • Attention to detail and procedure compliance is critical to identify all necessary hand tools, parts, and equipment required to ensure defect-free work.
  • Must have the ability to obtain and maintain all required certifications.
  • Use a computer in a production environment.
  • Look up/read/comprehend technical work instructions, drawings and/or specifications.
  • Wear appropriate protective clothing/equipment determined by the task you are performing.
  • Use various hand tools such as screwdrivers, ratchets, power screwdriver multi meters, crimpers, torque tools.
  • Inspect your work quality and check for Foreign Object Debris.
  • Finger manipulation (keyboarding, other).
  • Reading from a computer screen, printed drawings or documents.
  • Ability to adhere to high standards of Safety and Compliance to regulation

    • PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

  • Experience with hand tools
  • Experience with soldering, crimping, and torqueing
  • Ability to interpret schematics and drawings

    • PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Carrying/Lifting up to 10-35 pounds
  • Flexion/Extension (head bent down, head bent back), Handling, Kneeling, Bending at the waist, Reaching (overhead), Rotation of head/neck, Standing, Twisting at the waist and walking.

    • REQUIRED EDUCATION:

    Minimum level of education required is a High School Diploma/GED.

    TRAVEL:

    Yes, possible domestic. No travel planned at this time.

    WORK HOURS:

    FULL TIME/FIRST SHIFT; 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM

    ADDITIONAL Applicants responding to this position will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements by currently possessing the ability to view classified government information.


    Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
