Chipton-Ross is seeking multiple MECH TECH N 3 (SHEET METAL) for a contract opportunity in Charleston, SC.



BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):

  • 5 years of related experience with High School diploma/GED and/or certification in assigned area preferred.
  • Required PPE:
  • MSA Comfo Classic Half/Full Face Respirators
  • or
  • RESPIRATOR 3M SPEEDGLASS PAPR 9100MP ADFLO (Must have a approval from H&S)
  • 1401173 3M DBI SALA EXOFIT X100 14 Harness
  • 3500276 Nano-Lok Edge Twin leg PER.Self Retract Lanyards
  • MSA Skull Gard Hard Hat- Appropriate size
  • Welding shield compatible with MSA Skull Gard Hard Hat with shields

  • Kleenguard Calico safety glasses
  • POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Fabricates, assembles, installs, and repairs production sheet metal products and equipment such as control boxes, drain pipes, ventilators, and furnace casings in accordance with blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
  • Makes sheet metal layouts; sets up and operates fabricating machinery; shapes metal over anvils, blocks, or forms; operates welding and soldering equipment; and inspects assemblies and installations for conformance to specifications.
  • May monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures.
  • REQUIRED EDUCATION:

    High School Diploma. School must be accredited.

    WORK HOURS:

    First Shift 6:00AM-2:30 PM


    Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
