Chipton-Ross is seeking a Product Repair/Mod Technician C for a contract opportunity in Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst, NJ.



100% onsite

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):

Active Secret Security Clearance is required for this position. Regular and predictable attendance is required Eagerness to learn. Aircraft maintenance experience (3 years). Demonstrates the ability to prioritize and complete all required training and qualification requirements in a timely manner to meet contractual, regulatory, and operational expectations.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

Assembles, disassembles and/or modifies systems by changing, removing, replacing or upgrading aerospace vehicle components to correct failures or implement changes. Oversees assembly, disassembly or overhaul. Configures aerospace vehicles and bench test equipment. Troubleshoots complex pneumatic, hydraulic and electrical systems to isolate mechanical or electrical faults and repair faulty components. Performs validation/verification testing of systems and components. Documents procedures and established processes to ensure contractual and regulatory compliance (e.g., repairs, test results, applicable modifications and inspection results). Inspects components and verifies repairs for flight worthiness requirements. Oversees training. Works under general direction.

Training: Approximately 4 weeks - will likely take place in San Antonio, TX Demonstrates the ability to prioritize and complete all required training and qualification requirements in a timely manner to meet contractual, regulatory, and operational expectations.

Work statement is a non-managerial role, non-leadership role.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

C-17 specific experience (1 year). Airforce experience preferred. Structural maintenance experience preferred. A&P License

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Exposed to loud noises, flexion/extension (head bent down, head bent back), handling, kneeling, bending at the waist, reaching (overhead), rotation of head/neck, standing, twisting at the waist and walking, climbing/balancing (stairs, ladders, poles, scaffolding, inclined surfaces), crawling, crouching (squatting). Carry/Lift up to 35 pounds.

REQUIRED EDUCATION:

Education/experience typically acquired through basic education (e.g. High School diploma/GED) and typically 4 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. vocational school/Associate+2 years' related work, Bachelor, etc.).

Applicable and appropriate educational/certification credentials from an accredited institution and/or equivalent experience is required.

WORK HOURS:

Full-Time/First Shift 7:30 AM - 3:30 PM

ADDITIONAL:

This work assignment has been designated as "safety sensitive" by the Client. Contractors assigned to safety sensitive jobs at the Client site must first complete regulatory preplacement requirements prior to reporting to assignment. Additionally, contractors assigned to safety sensitive work will be subject to random drug and alcohol testing in accordance with federal mandates. Domestic travel 50% or more (once a month for 1-2 weeks) Possible international travel.

*This role is supporting a contract that is governed by SCA. Occupation Code and Title: 23021/Aircraft Mechanic I Minimum Hourly Rate=$36.98/hour Additional Hourly Benefit Allowance=$4.93 Health & Welfare Benefit (paid for all straight time hours worked up to 40 hours per week)

VACATION: 2 weeks paid vacation after 1 year of service; 3 weeks paid vacation after 5 years of service; 4 weeks paid vacation after 15 years of service.

HOLIDAY PAY: 11 paid holidays per year. New Year's Day, Martin Luther King Jr.'s Birthday, Washington's Birthday, Memorial Day, Juneteenth National Independence Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Columbus Day, Veterans' Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day.

ACCRUAL OF SICK LEAVE HOURS: 1 hour of paid sick leave for every 30 hours worked, up to 56 hours of paid sick leave each year.


Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
