Chipton-Ross is seeking a CNC Experimental Machinist 2 for a contract opportunity in Redondo Beach, CA.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
o High School Diploma/GED and minimum 5 years of CNC programming/machining experience. o Must have strong knowledge of Mastercam to program 3 and 5-axis parts. o Prior Experience operating Haas CNC machines. o Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance and meet the approval process for individual SAR program access. o Must be willing to work 1st or 2nd shift and overtime as needed.POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
o Looking for a CNC experimental machinist. Operate 3 and 5 axis milling machines. Writing machine programs using MASTERCAM. Conventional machining skill. Ability to read engineering drawings and follow process and specifications. Strong communication skills.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
o 10 or more years of related CNC machining experience. o Experience with Mazak CNC machines. o Ability to operate EDM and Plunge/Sinker machines. o Current Secret security clearance and ability to meet the approval process for individual SAR program access.REQUIRED EDUCATION:
High school degree or equivalent. School must be accredited.WORK HOURS:
Full-Time 9/80 workweek. First Shift. 5:00 AM to 2:42 PM M-Th. 5:00 am to 1:42 PM on working Fridays. (80 hours in a two-week period).ADDITIONAL:
Applicants responding to this position will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements by currently possessing the ability to view classified government information.
Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
