Chipton-Ross is seeking a Systems Engineer Support Analyst (Level 3) for a contract opportunity in Hazelwood, MO.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
- 3+ years of experience in product support roles
- Understanding of Military CONOPs and Logistic
- Experience in effectively communicating with Department of Defense (DoD) customers and internal programs, with a demonstrated ability to facilitate discussions between diverse organizations
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
This position will have the opportunity to develop and implement systems engineering processes and tools for current and future development and production programs. These activities provide a technical foundation for digital sustainment and decision support for our internal and external customers. The position offers exposure to the entire development life cycle of our products with an emphasis on operations and support.
This position will entail working on a team which develops our model-based sustainment simulation (MBSS) capability, which enables our customers to define and execute supportability trade studies based on the latest fleet performance data, experiment and test the results of anticipated events and choice of responses and make better informed decisions while fully supported with visibility to the options available to them. Support of this team will include working on IRAD/ Market Assist/ and CTRD projects associated with various client platforms in support of the Virtual Sustainment Center (VSC). The VSC is client Global Services' counterpart to the Virtual Warfare Center (VWC) with the goal to improve sustainment analysis for internal initiatives and external partners using modeling and simulation technologies. This capability employs an agile development methodology consistent with the Department of Defense (DoD) requirements and is adaptable to rapidly respond to customer needs.
The position will focus on functional, logical, and operational architectures; requirements development and management; logistics and supply chain network, lifecycle cost and mission analyses. Frequent engagements with other program leaders and subject matter experts is expected and offers broad visibility to diverse programs across client. This position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful difference to the effectiveness, efficiency, and quality of our future government services programs.
The successful candidate will be highly motivated, problem solver able to work multiple tasks and work well with cross-functional teams including software and data science. The ability to maintain and develop plans/schedules and to monitor and report schedule performance is required. Good oral and written communication are essential to success in this position. Background in one or more of the following areas is preferred: logistics support, modeling and simulation analysis (logistics, operations, cost), software development, integration and test, data science and simulation animation.
Duties may include (but are not limited to):
- Collect model/analysis input data from relevant/client data sources to support modeling requirements. Oversee data integrity by implementing validation checks and maintaining clear documentation
- Partner with the modelers and software developers to assist in developing project/customer specific modeling architecture diagrams, develop analysis packs, and test/debug models
- Utilize tools like draw.io or cloud platforms to automate and monitor data workflows, activity flows, model source data silos, and tools like Tableau to visualize scenarios to support decision making efforts
- Work across functions such as Modelers, Analysts and Data Scientists to bridge gaps, align logistics with project timelines, and develop solutions to improve system readiness
- Provide Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) trade study feedback to MBSS team by translating technical logistics details into actionable insights for the team and stakeholders to use

- Research and maintain awareness of all new and former military tactics and strategies used within logistics; this includes educating oneself in current training operations and global conflicts as needed to support the added fidelity to model creation and simulation studies
- Track established performance metrics and customer requirements
- Assist with Model Based Sustainment Simulation (MBSS) production releases
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
- A four year degree from an accredited course of study
- Experience with DoD aircraft maintenance, sustainment, and/or logistics
- Familiarity with modeling tools such AFSIM, LSAS, OPUS and/or SIMLOX
- Experience with Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)
REQUIRED EDUCATION:
Accredited education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience, 9 years' related work experience, etc.).
WORK HOURS FULL TIME/FIRST SHIFT; 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM
