BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):

o Accredited Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (with a focus in Electrical, Mechanical or Aeronautical), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement. o 5+ years of related work experience. o Regular and predictable attendance is required.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

Client is seeking a talented and motivated Mid-Level Electrical Engineer to join our Commercial Modifications Engineering team in Long Beach, California. In this role, you will play a crucial part in the development and maintenance of electrical product details, assembly, and installation designs for a diverse range of commercial aircraft, from the McDonnell Douglas MD series to the state-of-the-art Client 777X.

In this dynamic position, you will leverage your expertise to design and implement electrical solutions that enhance aircraft capabilities and operational efficiency. You will work on projects that involve retrofitting existing aircraft with advanced connectivity systems or the latest interior accommodations, all with the goal of optimizing electrical layouts and ensuring seamless integration of new technologies. Your contributions will directly impact the comfort, performance, and reliability of aircraft, enabling our customers to maintain competitive advantages in the aviation market.

In addition to technical responsibilities, you will have the opportunity to engage with customers, understanding their unique operational challenges and providing tailored solutions that enhance their fleet's capabilities. This customer-centric approach is essential in fostering long-term relationships and ensuring customer satisfaction.

o Design and develop electrical systems, including equipment racks, power panels, cable routing, and antenna configurations. o Create and maintain detailed designs for cable and wire harness assemblies. o Works with customers and suppliers to develop and document complex electronic and electrical system requirements. o Document processes, specifications, and procedures that support the design and manufacturing of electrical commodities. o Review supplier technical data to ensure system integration and compliance with requirements. o Provide technical support and troubleshooting to airlines and modification sites. o Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team of engineers in an agile environment, utilizing the latest tools and methodologies to deliver innovative solutions. o Engage in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance design efficiency and effectiveness.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

Analytical Skills (Technical) o Skill and ability to: collect, organize, synthesize, and analyze data; summarize findings; develop conclusions and recommendations from appropriate data sources. Engineering Drawings & Specs o Ability to read, understand, and interpret engineering drawings and specifications (e.g., blueprint/schematic reading, specification, change, design). Computer Aided Design Tools o Knowledge of computer aided design tools and systems (e.g., computer aided design/computer aided manufacturing (CAD/CAM), computer aided three dimensional interactive (CATIA), Mentor Graphics, Unigraphics). Engineering Judgment o Exercises engineering judgment in developing appropriate decisions considering decision criteria, implications, and possible consequences, to ensure product design integrity. Demonstrates understanding of the applicable scientific and engineering knowledge and involves others in obtaining information for the engineering decision-making process. Systems Thinking o Ability to understand the big picture and the inter-relationships of all positions and activities in the system, including the impact of changes in one area on another area. This includes the ability to see and understand the inter-relationships between components of systems and plans, anticipate future events, and apply the principles of systems thinking to accelerate performance. Certification & Qualification o Knowledge of verification, validation, certification and qualification processes and procedures (e.g. DO-160 and D6 requirements), including knowledge of governing regulations and compliance requirements. Ability to assess and document test or analysis data to show compliance.

REQUIRED EDUCATION:

Minimum of a Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

WORK HOURS:

Full-Time/First Shift 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM

Employment will be contingent on clearing a background check. Must clear prior to start date.
