Chipton-Ross is seeking 10 Structural & Payload Design Engineer 4's for a contract opportunity in Berkeley, MO; Hazelwood, MO; St. Louis, MO; St. Charles, MO; Mascoutah, IL.
100% ONSITEBASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
o Ability to obtain security clearance is required for this position. o Regular and predictable attendance is required. o Accredited Bachelor degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience. In the USA, ABET accreditation is preferred, although not required, accreditation standard. o 10+ years of relevant structural design experience. o 8+ years' experience designing primary structure, subsystems, or weapons in the Aerospace Industry. o Experience with Siemens NX / TeamCenter and familiarity reading 2D Drawings.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Client is building the future ? creating innovative solutions that will define the next generation of aerospace. We are currently seeking Senior Structural Design Engineers to develop, maintain and modify structural and interior payload system and component designs, using 3-D Computer Aided Design tools and/or other design methods, to provide product definition to other engineering groups, production operations, suppliers and external customers throughout the product lifecycle. These positions are located in the St. Louis region and support current and emerging aircraft programs as part of the Air Dominance division.
Positions will be located at one of the listed locations: Berkeley, MO; Hazelwood, MO; St. Louis, MO; St. Charles, MO; Mascoutah, IL.
o Develops, integrates and documents structural and interior payload system requirements to establish the system design. o Develops, maintains and modifies structural and interior payload system and component designs, using 3-D Computer Aided Design tools and/or other design methods, to provide product definition to other engineering groups, production operations, suppliers and external customers throughout the product lifecycle. o Leads performance, integration and analysis of tests to validate and verify systems and components meet requirements and specifications. o Manages supplier development, test and production activities and coordinates with the supplier to optimize the design and achieve program goals. o Assists with investigation of emerging technologies to develop concepts for future product designs to meet projected requirements. o Works under minimal direction.
Successful completion of training is a contingency for this assignment - OJT or formal classroom training.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
o 5+ years structural design experience on military aircraft.REQUIRED EDUCATION:
Minimum of a Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years' related work experience, Master+7 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.WORK HOURS:
Full-Time/First Shift 8:00 AM - 5:00 PMEmployment will be contingent on clearing a background check. Must clear prior to start date.
